Julie and Tobias were married in early June on a private property on the Northstar Preserve, a once-in-a-lifetime chance to design a wedding along this protected stretch of the Roaring Fork River. The meadow was fully green, snow still sat on the peaks, and a sailcloth tent rose in the open field.
The weekend began with a rehearsal dinner at a private residence built around an Argentine asado, a nod to Tobias’s roots. Meats cooked slowly over an open wood fire while guests in cowboy hats gathered at long tables dressed in red gingham and sunflowers.
For the wedding, the design leaned into the season. Pigsty Studio filled the day with loose, garden-style florals in poppy, coral, butter yellow, and blush. Julie and Tobias exchanged vows in the meadow between low banks of blooms, then guests moved into the tent, where long tables and rounds held clusters of bud vases with Icelandic poppies and ranunculus, ivory tapers, blush napkins, and a single bloom at every place.
After a grazing table from Field 2 Fork and toasts beneath the sailcloth, the Blue Roses kept the dance floor full, and the tent glowed pink for the hora.
