WIPA Colorado’s last gathering of 2022 brought about 125 wedding professionals to Aspen for Soirée x Slumber, an evening built around a pajama party. We planned and designed it as the event’s planning sponsor, for the most detail-minded guest list there is: planners, florists, photographers, and venue teams who notice everything.

The night moved across town. Guests started with a welcome mingle at Chica, checked in over cocktails at the W Aspen, then walked to The St. Regis Aspen Resort. The ballroom was set with long tables in green velvet and blush silk, low arrangements of pink and yellow orchids, and menus fanned out like paint swatches. A floral installation framed the stage, and the prefunction space held a lounge, a glow bar, a jewel station, and a photo booth.

After dinner and a talk from speaker Artem Lomaz, Mannequin took the stage, the lighting shifted to deep blue and violet, and a room full of silk pajamas, robes, and feather trim filled the dance floor.

An event for our peers is its own kind of test. Every guest plans, designs, or photographs celebrations for a living, and the night had to hold up to that attention, down to the scent in the ballroom, chosen with ScentEx during setup.
