Six years after we planned her older sister’s wedding at Hotel Jerome, we were back with Addy and Nick for a weekend of their own. Their September celebration moved from a western hat bar to the top of Aspen Mountain to a white garden ceremony in the middle of town. It began with a rehearsal dinner at Casa Tua, where guests customized their own felt hats with ribbons, pins, and trims before sitting down to tables dressed with red blooms.

The following day, the welcome party moved up to the Aspen Mountain Club, with views across the valley, early fall color on the slopes, and Aspen Beer Burro donkeys making the rounds.

On the wedding day, rain arrived just in time for the ceremony in the Hotel Jerome courtyard. Clear umbrellas waited in baskets for every guest, and Addy walked down an aisle lined with white blooms toward an arch of white florals.

Inside, the ballroom glowed behind draped walls, with a walnut and white checkered dance floor and towering arrangements of baby’s breath above every table. The Sainted Trap Choir opened the reception, the Spazmatics kept the dance floor full, and the night ended in a tunnel of sparklers and a ride away in the Ultimate Taxi, Aspen’s one-of-a-kind disco cab.
